THE VIRTUAL MARIONETTES

The last thing Kevin Smoke’s brain registered was nothing but a deafening sound and a huge explosion… Then he was hurled away by some strange force.

When he opened his eyes again, he thought he was floating among the clouds… A thick grey smoke covered the entire area.

It must have been a missile or a bomb attack!!! he thought.

Few minutes later, the density of that smoke started toning down… but bit by bit. Everything started appearing to him as silhouettes. He looked around… Human bodies were scattered all around him… Most of them were lying motionless…

He tried to get up… only to fail miserably…

Where are my guards? He wondered whether they got hurt in that attack. Who knows… they might be looking for me now… I must be alert…

Kevin tried to listen intensively… but the only sound he heard was an irritating humming voice. He suspected that it came from his own brain!

Suddenly, tearing that thin grey smoke a huge dark man walked towards him and pointed a gun towards him.

“Good bye, Mr. President!”

Kevin saw the bullet coming… It pierced through his fore head without making much noise…
